To succeed with your online business you will need to know the following::
How to blog, how to use traffic exchanges,
how to use free advertising sites, how to drive traffic through
to your sites, how to use forums, how to use Joint Ventures (jv's), how
to use squidoo, hubpages,blogger. How to use social networking
and bookmarking sites,
Building a blog or a website will not
necessary drive traffic to your sites. You need to actively
market and promote. There are thousands and thousands of free
traffic generating sites that you can join and participate in to drive
traffic to them. Traffic is the life blood of any business
Without traffic your site is a little boat bobbing up and down in the great internet sea without much hope of any traffic.
It starts with a plan, a blueprint of what niche you want your business to target.
Plan how you intend to advertise and how often.
The more you market the more traffic to your sites.
The more you put in the more you will get.
Now saying that, one of my first mistakes was just creating sites and not planning on how
I was going to advertise and how often.
You will find as with most things you need to run, test runs, making note of each
resource you have used to advertise, which one brought you the mosts referrals / traffic
Keep on building, tweeking, changing until you have an ad that works. Let it run
until you see that it is time to change your ad. wording. Keep your ads fresh and
in line with what is going on, on the internet.
What works today might not work tomorrow.
You need to keep up with the ever changing internet.
Read ebooks on the niche in which your business falls
Subscribe to e-courses on the topic or related topics
Track your ads and campaigns
Form Business Partnerships. Lets face it 3 brains work better than one.
Choose a Unique Brand Name
for
your business.
Subscribe to Free Membership sites that offer free to use marketing tools, such as
a free autoresponder, url tracker, url cloaker and so forth
Watch internet training videos, there are always new ones coming out with
new methods of marketing.
